great images! I also own 35mm f1.2, it's heavy and bulky indeed! But images are one of a kind. The only thing I didn't get is why you recommended Sony GM35 f1.4 instead of Sigma art 35 f1.4? Cos in the beginning you mentioned yourself how much you love Sigma lenses above everything else. Anyways, sigma art 35 f1.4 is better and cheaper than GM, me and my friend tested both out.
@@user-jr9vw5cx3g thanks for watching. I’ve used the Sony, not the sigma 1.4, so I’d be lying if I said get the sigma. In my experience, every sigma lens I’ve shot is better but I don’t want to be a liar. Know what I mean?
That usb port also allows access to the Tamron Lens Utility app. For videographers it's an unbelievable tool: mechanical/linear manual focus, fully programmable focus pulls for single point or from multiple points to multiple points, with rack speed included. For tele shooters, the programmable focus limiter is priceless. Recently, they've added a digital follow focus capability (on the android app) with stepless iris... and they've added astro focus lock for those who need to make certain the lens is set for the correct infinity distance required for starlight photography. All of this works on 7 lenses in their lineup at the moment. What Tamron has going these days is actually kind of amazing.
@@setaside2 thank you 🙏🏼

The issue currently is that you can get a Leica Q for the price of an X100V which is a no brainer! The lens on the Q alone is worth the price.
@@Caballeroshot agreed! This was years ago. Maybe I should delete it since it makes no sense now days.
@@hunterhart1I wouldn’t, photos were amazing and I’m sure a lot of people would want to see this, maybe do another one with the X100VI, I ended up buying the Leica Q, still waiting for it to come
@@ruialex314 you made the best decision
I have two 5D Markiii's. The first one I bought bout 12 years ago factory fresh and the second one about 7 years ago, also factory fresh as I was afraid that the first one would fail while far away from home during expeditions. But both camera's work very well till now. Using them much outside in heavy circomstances (rain, cold, humid warmth, dust, you name it). I use them exclusive with the weather-sealed L-lenses (70-300, 100-400 mkII and 24-70 2.8). They have never ever failed on me. They are like rigid tanks. The robust body protects the electronics inside. Also the battery-life is very good (important in my kind of photography). Thank you for this video, it will prevent me from buying other gear for a long time to go. When one of the rigs brakes I wil buy a "new second hand" one ;-)
I sold my 35, 55 & 24-50mm for this too... great lens, except for the weight 😂
@@Weedeogram I’m planning on doing the same when my local camera store gets it in
@@hunterhart1 go ahead, now stock shortage even in our local store.
After reading your original blog post about Leica Q and sooc BW I bought it, that camera is absolute legend. Do you feel Q3 retained same sooc BW abilieties?
@@90boiler that’s so cool! yes I do believe so, they did a fantastic job with it.
I really enjoyed this review! I love that you can use this lens to achieve a film effect. I recently bought an X-T2 but I’m worried about buying this lens now that you’ve mentioned the AF is a bit delayed on it and the X-T2. Would the AF on the TTartisan combined with the X-T2 be too slow? And if so, am I better off buying the Fuji 27mm lens? I’m sorry if this is a dumb question.
@@sashap3585 it’s not a dumb question, honestly they’re both a bit slower compared to other lenses. If I were to pick any 27 mm I’d get the Viltrox 27mm 1.2 but it’s larger so… pancake, I’d probably go with the TT art if you’re looking for a film look and compact size. Hope that helps?
Brother where do you buy your sunglasses? They look cool!
@@PhucTran-xu4py lol I put them in the link, I talk about it at the end of the video. Thanks for watching

Compared to the original Sony 24-70 GM how much better is this one? I’m looking to buy a 24-70 and found the original 24-70 GM at the same price as the New Sigma 24-70. Which one would you recommend?
@@rubenramirez8241 I’d recommend the new one but if you’re trying to save a bit of money I’d go with the old one. They’re both great lenses.

You'd never buy this lens? I mean it's priced pretty well, fantastic in a lot of ways. images are crisp, focus is fast, zoom variety is excellent. If you'd never buy a good versatile lens then what would you buy? And why review something you'd never buy? Kinda weird.

Congrats man!
Thank you man!
You don't have a disability.
Thanks 🥹
The best combo is Leica glass on a Fuji body. The DR 400 mode on the Fuji gives 3 to 5 stops of highlight retention. Is not about the correct exposure. This is about getting a much more filmic rolloff on highlights.. The modern amenities of a Fuji body like an EVF, and with the x transform 4 sensor fast read out combined with the Leica glass truly gives you a vintage image . Don’t forget about those film simulations, which give you some amazing out of camera results, especially with your own custom set up. The highlight and shadow tone curves gives you exceptional control on the image. Plus, the reality that Digital bodies are subject to digital rot. Something that is not immune from.
Thanks man, I have tons of fujifilm reviews as well if you’d like to watch those!
Its beautiful. Enter Islam and success

Quite a number of photography RUclipsrs going Leica recently. Are they really all cashing out a tenner for Body and glass in their own?
I’ve had 4 Leicas over 10 years. But yeah I guess they are all cashing out a tenner 😅
The quality of your videos far exceeds the recognition they receive, keep up the exceptional work man. This video was beautifully made and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Wow, thank you so much for that. I really really appreciate it 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Nice breakdown! For a while Ive wanted a roll film press cam like the omega. Are you gonna be using it for client work or just your own stuff?
I’ve used it at weddings for people who wanted medium format, but mostly my own stuff. It’s actually really great, I had the RZ67 and would much rather carry this than that tbh.
